8MP OmniVision OV8856 CMOS Night Vision MIPI CSI 2 Camera Module

This is an 8MP OmniVision OV8856 CMOS Night Vision MIPI CSI-2 Camera Module, built on the OmniVision OV8856 image sensor. Its core highlight lies in the integrated PureCel® technology, which significantly enhances light-gathering efficiency in low-light environments and effectively reduces noise generation. This means that in complex lighting conditions such as dim light or backlighting, the module can capture brighter images with less noise and richer details. Combined with its supported HDR function, it can output images with a wider dynamic range, ensuring high-quality visuals with no overexposure in bright areas and clear details in dark areas, whether in backlit portraits or high-contrast scenarios.​
The module features 8MP effective pixels and supports 4K@30FPS HD image output. Equipped with a 1/4-inch sensor size and a pixel specification of 1.12μm x 1.12μm, it balances imaging quality with the requirement for device slimness and lightness. Meanwhile, the HDR function, combined with the 10-bit RGB RAW output format, retains more abundant color and light-dark details, providing sufficient raw data for post-image processing.​
In terms of optical parameters, the module has a focal length of 2.57mm and an aperture of F2.4±5%, with a field of view covering D82.7°*H69.9°*V55.3°. Additionally, its TV distortion is < -0.8%, ensuring excellent control over imaging distortion. For focusing, it supports a wide focusing range of 10cm~Infinity and auto-focus function, meeting the needs of close-range shooting and long-distance capture. It adopts the industry-standard MIPI CSI-2 interface for easy adaptation to various devices. In terms of production process, it combines COB (Chip on Board) technology and AA (Active Alignment) process to ensure module stability and consistency.
