This 3D Face Recognition SC2356 Sensor UART IR+RGB Dual Camera Module, is a customized IR+RGB dual-camera integrated 3D facial recognition module developed specifically for the smart door lock industry. It features an SC2356 1/5-inch 2MP CMOS image sensor, a high-performance NPU processor, and a professional ISP, supporting digital image processing capabilities such as wide dynamic range and 3D noise reduction. The module adopts a dual-camera co-substrate design, integrating an 850nm infrared illuminator and an 88° wide-angle lens. It delivers stable imaging in complex lighting conditions-including indoor/outdoor bright light, low light, and backlight scenarios-while maintaining accurate facial recognition even when obstructed by glasses, hats, sunglasses, or other coverings. In terms of recognition performance, the module supports local registration of 100 faces and 100 palm vein patterns. Face recognition completes in as fast as 1.1 seconds, covering heights from 1.3 to 2.0 meters and recognition distances from 40 to 100 cm. Palm vein recognition operates at 13–30 cm. Both liveness detection and facial comparison meet high-precision standards, effectively resisting forged attacks like photos or videos. Hardware interfaces include dual USB + UART serial ports supporting SenseTime protocols and encrypted protocols. USB outputs up to 720P resolution. Integrated microphone and speaker support 16-bit audio transmission for video intercom functionality. Supports 5–9V wide voltage input with total power consumption <3.5W, enabling multi-functional integration without additional peripherals. For environmental adaptability, the module operates within -25°C to 70°C temperatures and 10% to 93% humidity (non-condensing), with ±8kV contact discharge and ±16kV air discharge ESD protection, ensuring long-term stability in harsh climates and demanding scenarios. All recognition and storage occur locally, balancing response speed with data security. This module highly integrates 3D facial recognition, palm vein recognition, high-definition peephole, and video audio intercom functions.
