Introduction

This is an autofocus 12MP CIS IMX378 MIPI camera module PCB, built around the Sony IMX378 CMOS color image sensor. Compared to the IMX708, the IMX378 leverages its larger 1/2.3-inch optical format and substantial 1.55μm native pixels-without relying on algorithmic binning-to capture more light per pixel, establishing a solid foundation in native image quality, signal-to-noise ratio, and dynamic range. Integrating PDAF phase detection autofocus, Exmor RS™ stacked technology, and HDR functionality, it delivers clearer, lower-noise images with more natural light transitions when capturing high-speed motion or high-contrast scenes. The 12MP sensor outputs ultra-high-definition video at up to 4072×3064@60fps. It features a professional M12×0.5P lens with a VCM motor for autofocus, F3.6 aperture, 7.3mm focal length, a field of view of D52°×H42.6°×V32.3°, and optical distortion < -0.34%. The module measures just 38mm×38mm×14.6mm, utilizes a 4Lane MIPI CSI-2 interface, is manufactured via COB process combined with AA active alignment, and has passed CE, FCC, RoHS, and Reach certifications to meet multi-scenario precision imaging requirements.
