The Wide Angle Camera Module pairs a 5MP OV5640 sensor with a D150° Fixed Focus lens and TV distortion specified below 1%. It combines broad scene coverage with a stated 40cm–infinity focus range for integration into an ESP32 device.
The H130° × V105° view is relevant when important parts of the scene extend well beyond the central subject. It can include more surroundings from a fixed mounting position, while the 2592 × 1944 image distributes its pixels across that wider area. A small target will consequently occupy only a portion of the frame.
For a view containing straight boundaries, TV distortion below 1% adds a lens criterion beyond coverage. It concerns the bending measured by the TV-distortion method; it does not specify geometric error everywhere in the image.

The focus condition also separates this configuration from cameras intended for shorter working distances. A subject inside 40cm falls outside the stated range, even if the lens angle would include it. This model is aimed at wide coverage at the specified distances, with the low TV-distortion figure considered alongside the required framing.
