The host processor should be checked before selecting a camera module. The OV5640 CMOS Camera Module is built around a 24-pin DVP interface, so its suitability depends on whether the customer's platform can receive parallel image data without additional interface conversion.
A DVP module is a practical choice when the processor already has a compatible parallel camera port. If the host only supports MIPI CSI-2, this product should not be selected simply because it uses the OV5640 sensor. A bridge board or a different MIPI module would be required.
The connector pin count alone does not guarantee compatibility. Signal definition, operating voltage, pixel clock, synchronization signals, output format and software support must also match the host platform. These items should be reviewed from the customer's schematic rather than confirmed only from a product photograph.
